Clarity over hype
Better information for gig workers.
GigRate is an independent ledger of AI training and data annotation platforms, built for people deciding where to spend their time.
Where the data comes from
Platform records cite official pages, community posts and social reports. Those sources have different levels of confidence. Seed figures come from the supplied research brief and have not been independently confirmed. Unknown information stays Unknown.
Sourced ranges can combine different roles, locations and experience levels. They are not offers or predictions of what you will earn. Check the original source and current platform terms.
How we calculate effective pay
An hourly USD report uses its stated hourly amount. For task or media-minute work, we divide total USD earned by actual hours worked. Other units without a meaningful conversion remain uncomputed. We do not convert currencies.
Platform effective pay is the median of approved USD hourly equivalents submitted in the last 90 days. Values below $0.50 or above $500 per hour stay visible as flagged outliers but are excluded from the median. We show a median only when at least 3 eligible reports exist, together with the sample size.
Payment reliability is the percentage of approved reports submitted in the last 180 days that say payment was on time. Reports marked “not yet due” are excluded from the denominator; late and unpaid reports remain in it. We hide the percentage until at least 3 eligible reports exist.
These are small, self-selected samples. They do not represent all workers. Submission date determines the calculation window; the reported month worked remains visible. Static pages refresh after approval and on a daily rebuild.
Moderation and corrections
Every worker report starts pending. We review for spam, confidential details, personal information, duplicate reports and obvious errors before approval. Rejected and spam reports never appear publicly. Approval is not independent verification of a worker's claim.
Reports collect no name or email. Share only your own experience and respect NDAs. Comments are plain text; HTML and URLs are removed. Platform records are maintained through reviewed repository changes with source URLs.
For a correction, cite the platform, disputed claim and a source. The public corrections email will be added before launch.
Affiliate and referral disclosure
GigRate may earn a referral bonus if you join a platform through a referral link. It never affects our data or rankings. Every referral button includes a nearby disclosure and links through a tracked redirect.
Before a referral link can appear, we review current terms, confirm that promotion on a public website is allowed and record the terms source and verification date. There are no active seed referral links.
Featured listings are labeled “Featured” in a separate slot. Sponsorship does not change the main table's default alphabetical sort order, report moderation, or pay calculations. Sponsorship details.
